Lube – Love It, Live It, Use It! Ok, so maybe you don’t NEED a lube. Maybe your vagina is always drippy and primed, and your hand is good enough to do the job, or your butt has its own squirting function (!), but if you’re like a lot of people these conditions may not always exist. For these times there is lube and it is important to know which is the best lube.
Recently my lovely wife and I have been in the market for a new “best lube”. Our previous favorite is no longer sold in the US, I’m not sure why, so we are shopping around. When I suggested a review to find the best lube in the store at LoveWorks Adult Store, they didn’t think it was a good idea. “Writing 1000 words on one lube can get boring.” they said, so they sent me FOUR different lubes to use, test, and review – and hopefully declare one of them as the best lube of the group. Good for me, good for you, and good for LoveWorks when you guys buy a ton of these!
In order to thoroughly trial these products I will use them variously for masturbation, sexual intercourse, anal toys, and anal intercourse. I have the best job in the world. To get this review completed in a timely manner I won’t be using every test on every product, but I will use each product enough times to be able to accurately evaluate it. Enough chit chat – let’s get down to it.
The four products I will be looking at are (in no particular order):

Part 4: Gun Oil Silicone
Fleshlube Water came to me in a 4 fl. oz. bottle. This is a good size to try out a new lube. I know, the 5 gallon pail works out to cost less, but if you don’t like it… The lube comes in an attractive bottle with a clean look. This is not discreet packaging, so if you need to keep things on the down low, stash this somewhere. The bottle has a small press top dispenser that is easy to use and keeps the bottle from getting messy.
There is also an easily removable seal under the cap, so you know it hasn’t been tampered with. The packaging states that this is “Made in the USA for Fleshlight”. A quick look at the list of ingredients shows this:
So, all in all, that is a pretty good ingredient list. All commonly used cosmetic stuff tested to be effective and safe. If you are bothered or allergic to any of these things then use something else. Throw away your shampoo, soap, and toothpaste too!
What does this jumble of funny named substances look like out of the bottle? I’m glad you asked! Fleshlube Water has a great consistency; about the same as mineral oil. Not too runny, but nowhere near as stiff as a gel either. It was very smooth and the consistency was, well, very consistent. How is that for a circular definition? My high school English teacher would have hated that sentence!
Some lubes can have weird textures that can vary, or be ropy or “junky”, but this was all good. It has a very pleasant, light, floral scent and a sweetish taste (according to my wife!).
This lube performed like a champion. It stayed very slick for a very long time with no drying out. I got an incredible hand job from my wife with this!! No stopping to reapply – just pure jacking pleasure. Didn’t I tell you I have the best job?
I used it with a big pink anal dildo that I like and it did a great job keeping everything slick, easy and pain free. Even here, when additional lube might be needed to keep things moving, the Fleshlube did the job with one application and my big, pink silicone dildo worked just fine. I’m getting an erection thinking about it as I sit here and write. Excuse me for five; no make that ten, minutes.
This water based lube is safe for all kinds of sex toy materials – jellies, silicone, PVC, etc. – whatever you’ve got. Cleanup was a breeze, just warm water and it was very easy to clean off of toys and skin. I was pleasantly surprised by this product, I thought that they were just trading on the Fleshlight name to sell lubes, but their reputation is on the line and it REALLY delivers. This was one of the best lube I tried and I think this will be one that we continue to purchase.

Well, there you have it, thank you for letting me share our thoughts and experiences with these lubes. What is the bottom line? Out of these products we like the Fleshlube Water the best of the water based lubes for its long lasting performance; with the Swiss Navy all natural water based lubricant a close second.
If you have never tried a silicone based lube I would recommend that you do, you won’t be sorry, and the Gun Oil silicone is an excellent choice. All these lubes caution you to discontinue use if any irritation or discomfort is noticed. Smart advice. If you are sensitive, maybe try a bit on some part of you first to see your reaction. Beyond that all I can say is, “Lube up and dive in!”
